How to use scratch

The first thing you need to do is go to scratch. To make it quicker I have put a link below.
The first thing you have to do is sign up. On the top right corner there is some white text that says Join Scratch. Click on this and it will come up with a short survey. Fill in the survey and remember to choose something you can easily remember. Once you have done this you will be in your own scratch account. Any other times to get into your scratch account there is some white text that says sign in. Click on it and enter your username and password to get in. Now to make a project click on the text on the top left corner that reads Create. When you get into a project it will come up with a screen that looks like this…

You see how there are lots of blue rectangles that look like this:

Above those there is something that looks like this:

Click on events and lots of blocks with semi-circles will appear. Take out the When Green flag clicked block. Then place it in the the blank space next to it. Now click on looks and drag out a say for two seconds block. Drag them together and you'll see that they fit. Now delete the hello if you want to and type new message. Now delete the one and tinker with the values. Now try it out! To try it out click on the green flag which is above the cat. Now watch the cat say whats in the speech block!

Now click on motion and drag out a go to block. Now put it in front of the say block. Now drag the cat to a nice position on the stage and drag out another go to block and put it at the end. Now after saying something the cat will go to your random position.

Now go into control and drag out a wait one second block. They look like this:

Now put it on the end of your code then add a say block. Tinker with the value's in the say block to make a nice waiting time.  This is what you should have done so far:

That was some of the basics of coding!
